Plaintiffs brought an action against Northeast Appraisal Company (NEAC) alleging negligence in performing a real estate appraisal. Plaintiffs claimed that they were damaged by NEAC's negligence when they were unable to sell their property to a prospective purchaser with whom they had entered into a sales contract.
