The original complaint in this case, filed in November 1980, alleged claims of professional malpractice against all defendants, as well as claims against some that arguably sound in negligence other than malpractice. Numerous extensions of time were allowed, with the consent of defendants who had been served, because of difficulties encountered in locating and serving other named defendants. Plaintiff was allowed leave to amend in April 1983...
