Defendant, Harvey W. Laverdure pled guilty to sexual assault charges in the District Court of the Eighth Judicial District on January 31, 1983. He was sentenced April 4, 1983, to twenty years at Montana State Prison, designated a nondangerous offender and ordered to make restitution to the victim for all psychological and medical treatment costs.
