On October 1, 1981, Fort Thompson Senior Citizens, Inc. (Senior Citizens) succeeded the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe (Tribe) as official grantee of a federally funded elderly nutrition program. The program, which is administered by the Office of Adult Services and Aging of the South Dakota Department of Social Services (Department), funds meals and transportation access for the elderly.
