¶ Plaintiff commenced this action on or about December 27, 1982 by service of a copy of the summons and complaint upon an agent of Pechter at its offices. Pechter forwarded same via its broker to its insurance carrier, which received it on December 30, 1982. The carrier requested a copy of the police report on January 7, 1983.
