¶ During the period from September 2, 1980 to September 7, 1980, Dean Johnston was a patient at the Albany Medical Center Hospital. When a bill of $1,185 for medical services rendered remained unpaid, plaintiff served a summons and complaint on defendant, the father of Dean.
