On April 12, 1979, plaintiff, Howard Huggins, brought suit in the circuit court of Coles County against defendant, Central National Bank of Mattoon, seeking damages arising from the sale by defendant of certain shares of corporate stock pledged by plaintiff to secure his indebtedness to defendant.
