OPINION

NYE, Chief Justice.

Appellant was convicted of voluntary manslaughter by a jury. Punishment, enhanced by a prior felony conviction, was also determined by the jury, and was assessed at eighty-five years imprisonment and a $10,000.00 fine.

The issues on appeal include whether the State was impermissibly allowed to impeach its own witness; whether the State failed to disprove exculpatory evidence it introduced; whether jury misconduct occurred...
