When this case was initially before this court, we rejected defendant's challenge to the sufficiency of the indictment and to certain hearsay statements which were introduced into evidence against him (86 A.D.2d 77). We withheld decision in the case, however, and remitted the matter to the trial court for a hearing before a different Judge, due to our finding that defendant's due process rights were violated by the manner in which his postverdict...
