Andy Franklin was tried by a jury and convicted of the crimes of rape, aggravated robbery and theft of property. He was sentenced to two ten-year terms of incarceration on the rape and aggravated robbery convictions with the sentences to run consecutively. He was found guilty of misdemeanor theft and sentenced to a one year concurrent term in the county jail.
