During 1979 Clyde and Olivine Carle brought an action against Earth Stove, Inc., and others to recover for fire damage allegedly caused by a defective stove. The Carles lost and, by virtue of the long-arm statute, Earth Stove was awarded attorney's fees and costs in excess of $15,000.1 There was no appeal.
