NIX, Justice.

This is a direct appeal from a conviction of murder in the second degree.1 Post-trial motions were denied by the court en banc2 and a sentence of life imprisonment was imposed by the trial judge. Appellant challenges the finding of second degree murder and asserts the ineffectiveness of trial counsel.
