The defendant was found guilty of being a youthful offender pursuant to General Statutes § 54-76g1 upon the first count of an information charging theft of a firearm in violation of General Statutes § 53a-2122 and also upon the second count charging possession of a sawed-off shotgun in violation of General Statutes § 53a-211.
