Burle Hill, defendant and appellant in this action, was convicted by a Crawford County jury of the premeditated first-degree murder of Velma Darlene Collins in violation of K.S.A. 21-3401. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. He appeals and contends that the trial court erred (1) in refusing to grant a change of venue, (2) in refusing to grant a judgment of acquittal and in refusing to reduce the conviction...
