The Workers' Compensation Commission found that appellee, Mary Jo Meeker, sustained a compensable injury on March 22, 1982, which was a recurrence of one she suffered on November 23, 1981. When both injuries occurred, Meeker worked for appellee Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (Wal-Mart). At the time of her first injury, Home extended compensation insurance to Wal-Mart employees, but commencing January 1, 1982, Wal-Mart became self-insured. As a consequence of...
