This action arises out of an automobile collision which occurred on January 12, 1980, on Route K, an east-west two-lane street, in Scott City, Missouri. Plaintiff Curtis Amos had stopped his Chevrolet automobile in the westbound lane because a vehicle ahead of him was waiting to make a left turn to the south.
