JUSTICE HEIPLE delivered the opinion of the court:

The plaintiffs were stabbed in front of the Edifice Lounge in Joliet. They were stabbed by members of a gang called the "Outlaws." Mr. Getson was stabbed by Ronald Talmadge. Mr. Churnovic was unable to identify his attacker. The plaintiffs brought suit against both Talmadge and the Edifice Lounge.
