This appeal by plaintiff State of Iowa arises from an action commenced in 1963 attempting to quiet title to land in the State located in Fremont County, Iowa. The land, known as Walker-Engleman Island or State Line Island, totaling 264 acres, was a portion of a Missouri River island and an adjacent abandoned channel of the river.
