C.W. SIMON, J.

A Recorder's Court jury found defendant guilty of second-degree murder, MCL 750.317; MSA 28.549, and felony-firearm violation, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). Defendant was sentenced to serve from 8 to 30 years imprisonment on the murder charge and to a mandatory term of 2 years on the felony-firearm count. He appeals his conviction and sentence by right.

Because of several errors in the trial, we reverse and remand for a new trial.
