Pending before the Court is the Government's Motion for Summary Judgment on its Counterclaim, brought under 26 U.S.C. §§ 6671 and 6672, in which it sought to recover its assessment against the Plaintiff for taxes due in the amount of $13,821.32. The action was commenced when the Plaintiff filed his Complaint, alleging that the Government had acted improperly, illegally, and erroneously in making the tax assessment...
