This action arises out of an incident which occurred in a crowded bar on the night of July 4, 1981, in Tyson's Corner, Virginia. Federal jurisdiction is founded on diversity of citizenship under 28 U.S.C. § 1332(a)(2). At trial, the jury found Mohammed Sabiri Fard, a.k.a.
