A federal grand jury returned a seventeen count indictment against defendants, Dr. Odis Strong, Rosie Galloway, Mary Mitchell, and several others on March 27, 1980. The indictment charged defendants with sixteen counts of mail fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2, 1341, and one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371. The jury returned verdicts of guilty against all three defendants....
