This is a patent infringement suit brought by the plaintiff Olympia Werke Aktiengesellschaft1 (Olympia) against the defendant General Electric Company (GE). After some discovery, GE moved for summary judgment in its favor on the ground of laches. The District Court held that the motion "should be denied" at that time, since it concluded that the issue of laches could best be resolved on a more complete record...
