On April 21, 1982, a judge of the Probate and Family Court vacated the appointment of Muriel F. and Ralph D. Chaplic, Sr. (Chaplics), as guardians with custody of their son's daughter, Lynn-Marie Chaplic, and entered a judgment appointing Arlene Freeman, the child's maternal step-grandmother, as guardian with custody.
