The defendant, Meyer Biller, a licensed public adjuster and a notary public, was charged in a two-count information with falsely certifying two oaths in violation of General Statutes § 53-368. The case was tried to a jury and the defendant was found guilty on both counts. The court imposed consecutive eighteen month to three year sentences on each count for a total effective sentence of not less than three...
