The defendant appeals as of right his conviction and sentence of life imprisonment for first-degree criminal sexual conduct. MCL 750.520b(1)(b); MSA 28.788(2)(1)(b).

During the school year, the 13-year-old complainant resided with her father and stepmother. On the day school recessed for summer vacation, she went to live with her mother and the defendant in their home pursuant to court-ordered extended visitation over the summer months. The...
