Defendant, William Anthony Sisk, was charged by bill of information with the attempted second degree murder of James Bourland, a violation of La.R.S. 14:27 and La.R.S. 14:30.1. A jury convicted defendant as charged; and, after being adjudicated a second felony offender, he was sentenced to serve twenty years at hard labor.
