Plaintiff-appellant, Charles Monroe, sued Local Union 696 of the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, the International Union itself (UAW), and his former employer, General Motors Corporation (GMC), under § 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act (LMRA).
