Defendants are two of four defendants jointly tried by jury for five offenses: kidnapping, MCL 750.349; MSA 28.581; felonious assault, MCL 750.82; MSA 28.277; carrying a firearm or dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, MCL 750.226; MSA 28.423; carrying a dangerous weapon in a motor vehicle, MCL 750.227; MSA 28.424; and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2).
