Defendants Darryl Bell, Kevin Mitchell, William Martin, and Vincent Bevley were convicted, after trial by jury, of murder (one count each), attempted murder (five counts each), and armed violence based on attempted murder (five counts each). (See Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 38, pars. 9-1(a), 8-4(a), and 33A-2.) No issue is raised on the sentences imposed by the trial court...
