Defendant, Clay C. Freeman, was charged by bill of information with simple burglary and felony theft in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62 and 14:67, respectively. He was tried on July 21 and 22, 1982, before a six-man jury and convicted of those charges by a unanimous verdict in accordance with LSA-C.Cr.P. art. 782.
