ALFORD, Judge.
Defendant, Larry E. Booker, was charged with second degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1, in connection with the shooting death of his wife, Loraine Booker. A jury convicted him as charged, and he was subsequently sentenced to serve life imprisonment at hard labor, without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
