Malcolm R. Gomez was charged in a grand jury indictment with fifteen counts of theft (La.R.S. 14:67), two counts of receiving stolen things (La.R.S. 14:69), one count of injuring public records (La.R.S. 14:132), and one count of filing false public records (La.R.S. 14:133), which offenses allegedly occurred during the period of January 1, 1979 through June 1, 1981, in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. After a trial by jury, he was convicted of ten counts...
