In the early evening darkness of January 24, 1981, the M/V SATURN collided with Pier 86 on Elliott Bay in Seattle, Washington. The Port of Seattle and Cargill, Inc., owner and lessee/operator of the pier respectively, instituted this action against the vessel and her owner for the resulting damages.
