Plaintiffs, the Sanders heirs,1 brought this petitory action against defendant, M.D. Williams, alleging ownership of a certain tract of land located in Sabine Parish, Louisiana, occupied by defendant. Plaintiffs also sought damages in the amount of $23,342, which includes $10,000 for depreciation in value of the property due to defendant's use of it, $15,000 for mental anguish due to defendant's alleged trespass, and $342...
