The principal issue raised in this appeal concerns property purchased in joint tenancy prior to marriage of the joint tenants to each other. A judge assigned to the domestic relations division of the circuit court of Cook County, in post-dissolution proceedings, found that the property was nonmarital. Subsequently, one of the joint tenants filed an action for partition in the chancery division...
