This case concerns the defendant-appellant's claim that he cannot be retried because to do so would subject him to double jeopardy.

The defendant was charged with rape, robbery, burglary, theft, simple assault, indecent assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering, and possession of instruments of crime. All of the charges arose from an incident occurring on July 16, 1980. Trial...
