Two stolen trucks appeared in the possession of Harold Aubrey Baker. Mr. Baker was indicted on charges of receiving a stolen 1978 Ford F150 truck in violation of G.S. 20-106, altering or changing the vehicle's serial number in violation of G.S. 20-109(b)(1), and making a false affidavit for title prohibited by G.S. 20-112. In response to the defendant's pretrial motion, the trial court dismissed the charge of making a false affidavit on the ground...
