John Scattone, plaintiff, brought suit against Roy Eugene Clark, defendant, in the circuit court of Franklin County. Plaintiff's complaint alleged that defendant wilfully and intentionally struck plaintiff in the face on June 29, 1980, thereby injuring plaintiff.
