Appellant Robert Smillie takes this direct appeal from the judgment of sentence imposed by the Court of Common Pleas of Erie County on September 3, 1981 following his entry of guilty pleas to charges of burglary1 and retail theft.2 On appeal, he raises two issues for our resolution.
