JUSTICE CAMPBELL delivered the opinion of the court:

Defendant was arrested and charged by indictment with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1981, ch. 56 1/2, par. 1401(a)(2).) After a hearing, the trial court sustained defendant's motion to quash the arrest and suppress the evidence. The State now appeals.
