This case concerns the power of a trial court to impose summary sanctions for criminal contempt upon a pro se litigant who repeatedly refuses to obey the orders of the court. The conduct which led to the convictions for contempt arose out of a civil jury trial in which Julia Naunchek, appearing pro se, was the plaintiff.
