This personal injury case arises out of a car-truck accident in Phillips County, Kansas. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiffs-appellees, Linda K. McDowell and Ruby L. Klinzmann (plaintiffs) against defendants-appellants, the truck driver, Terry L. Beale; Beale's employer, Young and Cooper Trucking Co.; and the employer's insurance carrier, United States Fidelity & Guaranty Co. (USF&G) (collectively referred to as defendants). Defendants...
