The defendant was convicted of the crime of sexual assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-70 by a jury and sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not less than seven nor more than fifteen years. In his appeal the defendant claims (1) that he was denied the effective assistance of counsel because of the failure of his trial counsel to object to the introduction of other crime evidence...
