In a controversy between unions, this case raises the question of whether the National Director of a union had authority to divide one local union into four separate unions serving the same geographical territory formerly served by the one local. The district court held the action was not authorized by the union's constitution and enjoined the defendants, the National Union and its National Director, from further recognition of the separate locals...
