This action brought under 42 U.S.C. §§ 1983 and 1988 for violations of the civil rights of Bennie McQurter was tried to the court without a jury from March 11-12, 1982 and from June 17-25, 1982. On June 23, 1982 the court granted the motions of defendants Lane and Davis for directed verdict.
