MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

SHADUR, District Judge.

Eddie Greer ("Greer"), a former prisoner at Stateville Correctional Center ("Stateville"), brings this civil rights action against twelve Stateville officials1 under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 ("Section 1983"), the Illinois Constitution and the laws of Illinois. Greer's Amended Complaint (the "Complaint") has three counts:
