Plaintiff Albert Zeck sued the United States for injuries he suffered from a brain stem stroke allegedly caused by a swine flu vaccination he received in November, 1976. In a separate action, Nancy Zeck, Albert's wife, sued the Government for loss of consortium stemming from the same incident. The two cases were consolidated for trial.
