This case is presently before the Court on a joint petition for writ of habeas corpus filed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. The two petitioners, Keith Dean and Cornelius Harper, were tried and convicted in a state court jury trial on charges of kidnap, rape and robbery, for which they each received sentences of life imprisonment. Their convictions were unanimously affirmed on direct appeal by the Supreme Court...
