This is a dispute over custody of the parties' daughter, now seven years old. The marriage of mother and father was dissolved on November 15, 1979. The dissolution decree awarded joint custody of the child. On December 31, 1981, a Texas district court, on mother's petition, purported to modify the dissolution decree to award custody to mother. A proceeding was then pending in Lane County on father's petition...
